Krys & Associates expands and strengthens business relations in China

Lawyer Monthly–Krys &Associates is an independent and dedicated firm that offers corporate recovery,insolvency, forensic accounting and business advisory services with offices in the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, Bahamas and Bermuda.

In the last eight months they have seen a number of engagements coming out of China that arise from secured lenders who are appointing receivers or liquidators to Cayman or BVI holding companies,with large manufacturing and retail businesses in mainland China. Banking syndicates are seeking to control the assets, investigate the borrower’s affairs and to determine whether there is any value that can be realized through a sale or restructuring. With offices in four countries they are in a position to offer solutions in the key offshore centres in the Caribbean. Margot is a Managing Director of Krys & Associates and has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. Margot is a Joint Liquidator of the Sphinx Group of Companies,and has been extensively involved in a number of the liquidation activities including investor and creditor matters and other asset recovery strategies. Margot works with a number of other engagements in the development of the strategy and activities to investigate, recover and distribute assets.

Tim joined Krys & Associates’ Cayman Islands’ office in January 2008 and is a Director of the Firm. He has in excess of 16 years experience in insolvency administrations, corporate restructuring and financial consulting to companies in financial distress. An Australian national, he has also worked in a number of jurisdictions on long term secondments where he specialized in insolvency administrations and corporate reorganizations.

Timis a qualified Insolvency Practitioner and currently acts as Joint Official Liquidator of a number of Cayman entities
