KRyS Global, an international fraud investigation and dispute resolution firm, has announced that earlier in November, it opened its eighth office, the most recent in London.

The London office will facilitate and assist current and potential clients in the UK and Europe, and in particular those who have needs in the offshore world, in the areas of fraud investigation, asset recovery, dispute resolution, corporate restructuring and insolvency.

John Skelton will be heading up the new office. Mr Skelton has been with KRyS Global for more than six years. “I am excited with the prospects of operating from London and explaining to potential clients the tools that are available to them offshore,” he said. “My broad experience with KRyS Global to date allows me to sit down with clients and explain to them in very practical terms the options available to them and how we can best assist.

Mr Skelton has been heavily involved in many of the firm’s most notable cases, working across several of the offshore jurisdictions as well as Central Eastern Europe and the Balkan states. A qualified Chartered Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner, his background includes forensic accounting, dispute resolution, litigation support and corporate restructuring. Among his professional memberships are INSOL, R3 (the Association of Business Recovery Professionals), American Bankruptcy Institute, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland.

He continued by stating, “With London being the second largest financial centre with close connections to many of the islands where we operate, I will be able to guide clients as to how best to recover their assets. Further with the recent launch of the CEE/CIS office, and its historical connection with London, KRyS Global is in a unique position to provide a full gambit of services to international clients.”

“The decision to establish a presence in London was driven by needs of current clients, who expressed more direct contact in the initial stages of investigations and recovery efforts,” stated Kenneth Krys, Executive Chairman of KRyS Global. He added that Mr Skelton will “coordinate the needs of clients with the capabilities and expertise that we have offshore. With many of the law firms that we work with now having established practices in London, we feel we will be better servicing the needs of clients while expanding the opportunities for other services and projects. Through our experience in New York, we recognise the benefits of having complementing offices in both the Onshore and Offshore worlds and in working closer with our clients in providing them the services they are looking for.”
