OPUS Deal Turns Sour in Guernsey
Guernsey Press–An agreement between two companies to produce books on Ferrari and Glasgow Celtic Football Club ended with one of them being compulsorily wound up.
Timothe Le Cornu and Andrea Harris, of Krys Global, were appointed joint liquidators for Kraken Sports & Media Ltd. at a sitting of the Ordinary Division of the Royal Court.
For the applicant, Shamrock Solutios Ltd, Advocate Matthew Newman said his client had entered into two separate agreements to produce opuses which would have told people everything they needed to know about the subjects, but these agreements had been breached.
Two statutory demands were made on Kraken Sports & Media Ltd via HM Sergeant in October and notice of the current application was delivered on 14 March. Advocate Newman said the application was not opposed.
It was not disputed that the payment was outstanding or that contractual agreements had not been complied with. Shamrock Solutions Ltd. was the only creditor as far as he was aware.
The application was granted.
