KRyS Global Opens Cyprus Office

KRyS Global, an international fraud investigation and dispute resolution firm, has opened an office in Limassol, Cyprus. The office will focus on servicing current and prospective clients in Central Eastern Europe (“CEE”) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (“CIS”) region, in the areas of restructuring, forensic and asset recovery services.

Lee Coles leads the new office and brings 20 years’ of experience in forensic work, with the past 18 years spent with one of the Big 4. Lee has specialized in leading fraud investigations for the past 12 years, working with teams across multiple industries in multiple locations. This experience has covered the full spectrum of forensic work from FCPA investigations and Anti-Corruption work, through multi-million dollar litigations to smaller, more focused investigations and commercial research and intelligence. In recent years he has focused on the CEE/CIS region including leading major projects in Russia, Ukraine and the Balkans as well as a large number of engagements in Budapest, Prague and Vienna.

“The decision to retain Lee and have him on the ground in the CEE and CIS is unique for fraud investigation firms who specialize in the offshore. With Lee’s background and experience, we will be able to react in real time while having a full appreciation of the culture and practices in that region. No other firm offshore is able to say they have that capability” explained Founder and Executive Chairman Kenneth Krys. “With the knowledge that the Russia-Cyprus-BVI commercial connection is the most commonly used structure in that region, having a presence in Cyprus and the addition of Lee to the team gives us a unique perspective in addressing problems or issues that may arise in that part of the world.”

Lee said “KRyS Global is recognized as a leading player in the offshore market and is already working in the CEE/CIS region, with very successful results. I look forward to bringing my experience and capabilities to the team and enhancing the services the firm provides in the CEE and CIS, with a focus on offshore and cross border matters.”
